The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by Com. Adewale Adeyanju, has extends its heartfelt commendation to the Managing Director of Ports and Terminal Multi Services Ltd (PTML) for sponsoring the training of five Dockworkers and members of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria under the RORO TinCan Island District for Mobile Crane Operation (RTG) in Germany and Holland.
The union in a press statement issued by the head of media MWUN Kennedy Ikemefuna informed that the maritime workers from the PTML Unit have successfully completed specialized training on RTG operation in Germany and Holland, returning to Nigeria equipped with enhanced skills and knowledge.
Adeyanju lauded PTML Managing Director, Ascario Russo, for his visionary leadership in recognizing the importance of continuous training and development for workers.
He praised Russo’s commitment to ensuring that PTML remains at the forefront of modern industrial practices, aligning with global standards in the maritime sector.
He describedRusso as a trailblazer in the maritime industry, whose foresight in manpower development is pivotal to PTML’s growth and competitiveness on the international stage.
MWUN expresses deep gratitude to PTML management for the invaluable initiative and hopes that the symbiotic relationship between PTML and MWUN will continue to strengthen, benefiting both parties and the maritime industry as a whole.
Adeyanju also urges other stakeholders in the industry and terminal operators to follow PTML’s example, emphasizing the positive impact of continuous workforce development on industrial growth and productivity.
