The Deputy National President (Seaport) of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF); Chief Afam Chukwuma has charged the newly-constituted management team of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to come up with ideas that will facilitate trade in the nation’s ports and borders.
In a congratulatory message made available to our correspondent, Chief Chukwuma noted that the business community looks forward to the service for support and guidance especially as it concerns trade facilitation.
Chief Chukwuma who is also the Managing Director, International Supply Chain Systems Limited enjoined the new Customs team to embrace good working relationship and constant engagements with stakeholders and other government agencies to ensure trade is conducted smoothly and effectively.
Afam also pledged the association’s unflinching support to the NCS, adding that his members are always ready to collaborate and work together with newly constituted Management team of the NCS to promote trade facilitation.
In his words: “It is important to remember that the business community looks to you for support and guidance, and it is essential that you put their needs first. By working closely with other government agencies and stakeholders, you can ensure that trade is conducted smoothly and effectively.
“Also, it is important to be aware of the constant changes in global trade, such as new tariffs and regulations, and to be able to adapt and respond accordingly.
As you begin your new roles, we wish you all the best and look forward to seeing the positive impact that your leadership and dedication will have on the country’s trade”, he concluded.
