Nigerdock Nigeria Plc has announced the completion of the fabrication of the jacket and associated decks for the Domestic Supply Obligation, DSO, Meren GGCP and Sonam NWP project, belonging to Chevron Nigeria Limited, operator of the NNPC/CNL joint venture.
Speaking at the load-out ceremony for the jacket and associated decks in Lagos, Mr. Anwar Jarmakani, the chairman of Jagal Group – owners of Nigerdock – described the success of the fabrication work as one of the accomplishments of the Local Content Policy, which both the government and Nigerians should be proud of.

Speaking at the load-out ceremony for the jacket and associated decks in Lagos, Mr. Anwar Jarmakani, the chairman of Jagal Group – owners of Nigerdock – described the success of the fabrication work as one of the accomplishments of the Local Content Policy, which both the government and Nigerians should be proud of.
This, he stated, was because the project was a value-added one for Nigeria, completed hundred per cent in-country, on target and within budget, in the process also creating jobs for hundreds of Nigerians.
He explained that the general scope of work being undertaken by Nigerdock for Chevron covers the fabrication of the jacket, piles and bridges for the Meren Gas Gathering and Compression, GGCP, Platform, and also the entire structures for the Sonam Non-associated Gas Wellhead, NWP, Project.
On completion, the GGCP and NWP are expected to deliver a combined 420 million cubic feet per day, mmcf/d, of natural gas to Chevron’s Escravos Gas Project, EGP, representing a major leap towards using natural gas mined from CNL’s operations and eliminating gas flaring from its assets.
