The key agenda for the meeting as stated by Nigeria Customs boss; Adeniyi, was to discuss strategies that would amplify trade activities and ensure effective implementation of earlier recommendations.
“We are cognizant of the established framework for cooperation between our respective customs administrations,” remarked CGC Adeniyi.
He highlighted the support of President Patrice Talon of Benin and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, who both advocate for collaborative efforts.
Mrs. Zanouvi emphasized the commitment to this partnership, stressing the importance of diligent monitoring for successful execution of these plans.
She noted that such collaborative efforts demonstrate the dedication of both nations to enhance trade operations and effectively manage cross-border activities.
Additionally, CGC Adeniyi took the opportunity to visit and inspect ongoing projects at the Nigeria Customs Service’s Seme Area Command. Accompanied by Comptroller Timi Bomodi, the Area Controller, he reviewed the progress and received updates on the diligent oversight of these projects, ensuring their alignment with broader customs objectives.
