The vessel was released to the representatives of the company last week at the Warri Naval Base.

Navy Capt. Levi Deyin, the Executive Officer, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Delta, handed over the vessel, on behalf of the Commander, NNS Delta, Commodore Abdulhamid Baba-Inna.

Deyin said the vessel was seized in January 2020 in Escravos by the naval personnel following its alleged involvement in illegal activities.

He said that the vessel was released following the conclusion of the case and approval from the naval headquarters.

“MT Madam Esther was arrested by the Base in January 2020 for its involvement in illegal activities.
