The Ogun state government has promised to establish five automobile plants for purpose of vehicle assembly.
Governor of the state, Ibikunle Amosun said that the five automobile plants will soon begin operations as part of efforts to industrialise and create employment in the state.
Amosun made the disclosure last week, at a town hall meeting to deliberate on the 2015 budget.

The governor commended the people of the state for their cooperation for what he called high level of understanding, and support for his administration, saying that the plants are those renowned automobile companies of the world.
He noted that work on the assembly plants will commence soon, adding that five of the automobile firms that are coming to the state are well known with international recognition.
"Work will commence anytime from now. They are coming, five of them from the most popular automobile companies in the world, it is part of our determination to ensure that our industrialisation agenda is fulfilled.
"They will be taking the right side of the Abeokuta Sagamu road, our people are going to be major beneficiaries and they will create jobs opportunities”, he disclosed.
