In an effort to promote the export of cocoa from Ondo State, the Customs Area Controller of Ondo and Ekiti Area Command; Comptroller Morenikeji Bewaji, has affirmed collaboration with leading cocoa exporters in the state.
Comptroller Baweji stated this during a strategic meeting with ten exporters on Thursday at the Command Headquarters in Akure.
Bewaji stressed the crucial role of the NCS in facilitating international trade. She highlighted the importance of ensuring that exporters’ businesses comply with necessary regulations to enhance their operations and contribute positively to Nigeria’s economic growth.
“The prosperity of your enterprise directly benefits the Nigeria Customs Service as it helps to increase the nation’s foreign exchange reserve,” Comptroller Bewaji stated.
She reassured the exporters of her unwavering support in facilitating legitimate trade, underscoring the Customs Service’s commitment to ensuring smooth operations for compliant businesses.
The exporters expressed their gratitude to Comptroller Bewaji for organising the meeting, which provided a platform to discuss their challenges and receive invaluable guidance.
They also pledged to adhere strictly to the stipulated conditions for their operations, ensuring that their business practices align with regulatory requirements.
