The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Oyo/Osun command, on Tuesday in Ibadan declared that it generated N5.8 billion as revenue between March and July.
The Comptroller, Mr Muhammad Bawa, told newsmen at a news conference that the revenue was between March 25 and July 31.
Bawa said that 91 detentions were being investigated and 92 seizures with eight suspects were also taken into custody due to allegation of smuggling.
He said that the duty paid value of the seizure made was N218.5 million

Bawa said that the command generated N102. 5 million as duties paid on imported vehicles, due to the renewed strategy employed.
He said that the headquarters, due to its encouragement by the turnout, had proposed to set up another Customs Processing Centre (CPC) at either Odo or Ayegun area of Oyo State.
Bawa, who assumed duty on March 25, said that Oyo State had a large concentration of corporate poultry farms.
He added that the launching of operation "Hawk Descend" had landed several foreign poultry parts in custody, with zero tolerance for their quantity.
"The latest in the series of such seizures is 120 cartons of imported poultry products that will be destroyed today (Tuesday) in the presence of appropriate stakeholders,’’ he said.
Bawa also conducted newsmen and other stakeholders round the newly created modern Crèche for staff nursing mothers in the command.
