The Port Manager, Lagos Port Complex, Apapa; Mr. Nasir Anas Mohammed has been conferred with Award of Patronship, by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Western Ports Authority Police Command.
The Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee, Western Ports Authority Police Command, Mr. Udoh George, who gave the award on behalf of the PCRC also thanked the Port Manager for his support to PCRC.
Mr. George described "PCRC" as a citizen's group, supporting the police in its duties.

In his contributions, the PCRC secretary; Mr. Godwin Ikejin also expressed appreciation to the port manager for his role, in supporting the Police to maintain security in the Port.
In his response the Port Manager, thanked the group for the visit and the recognition accorded him, he promised to continue to support the PCRC.
Denmark Nominates Country’s Maritime Chief For The Post As IMO Secretary General
\Denmark has nominated the Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority Andreas Nordseth for the post as Secretary General of United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The Minister for Business and Growth Henrik Sass Larsen announced that Denmark will nominate Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority Andreas Nordseth as a candidate for the post as Secretary General of the IMO.
The post will become vacant on 1 January 2016 as present Secretary General Koji Sekimizu will resign from his position at the end of 2015.
It is expected that the election will be announced in December 2014 and will be held by the IMO Council in June/July 2015.
