Physically challenged job seekers on Tuesday protested against alleged discrimination against them by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
They lamented that NIMASA has refused to employ qualified physically challenged graduates, this is even as they lamented lopsided employment at the agency
The disabled job seekers who for more than an hour obstructed access to the agency were seen sleeping on the ground while some were singing solidarity songs.
One of the disabled who spoke to our correspondent informed that while Central Bank of Nigeria has so far employed 10 out of the 50 members of the group, NIMASA has so far refused to hearken to their cry describing the agency as discriminatory.

One of the protesters informed our correspondent that they were at the agency’s headquarters on Monday, but were treated with disdain by the staff of the agency who attended to them.
Meanwhile after much plea, they left the gate, but threatened to return with full force if their demands are not met.
