PRINCE OLAYIWOLA SHITTU AND ANLCA: We Predicted It And Now, It Is Coming To Pass:

In our first edition for 2010 and in line with our tradition of looking  into our ‘crystal ball’ and forecasting into every current year, We wrote under the column on People And Places To Watch In 2010 that the (now immediate past) Association Electoral Committee (ASECO) chairman of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu will make history in 2010. In line with our prediction, he has declared his intention to take a shot at the association’s highest office. As a matter of fact, a campaign coordinating team has been raised for him and people are already falling over themselves to offer free services. We produce hereunder, our informed prediction of the ANLCA phenomenon called: Olayiwola Shittu.
This is what we wrote about him.

PEOPLE AND PALCES TO WATCH IN 2010(Published on January 11 – January 16, 2010)
“His patriotic role as the chairman, Association Electoral Committee of ANLCA in the recent elections has earned him tremendous respect in the association.
Prince Olayiwola Shittu is largely seen by many as ‘Mr Integrity’; having discharged himself creditably and having risen above all sentiments in the conduct of the highly contentious elections, he is seen as an emerging light in the association.
We can predict with some degree of certainty that the name: Olayiwola Shittu will echo loudly in the politics of ANLCA in 2010.
At the moment, we have heard that some known names are warming up, we have also been told that some previously unknown names are likely to signify intentions. But whichever way it eventually turns out, ANLCA’s national executive council elections will confirm our watchlist which include Prince Olayiwola Shittu; who apart from being a former national publicity secretary of ANLCA, is also a member of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding”.
AS he flags-off his campaign on Monday, March1, 2010, it draws him closer to the fulfillment of what he called the desire to serve ANLCA and flag-off a regeneration process for the oldest freight forwarding association which once held sway as the only umbrella body for all licensed customs agents.
