Serial Allegations: Ex-Sole Administrator Recants, Says “I Mean Well For IOTA”

A former Sole Administrator of the Institute of Transport Administration (IOTA)Nigeria; Prince Don Aki says he will continue to support the growth of the foremost transport institute for it to achieve greatness.

Shipping Position Daily recalls that  Don Aki had in an earlier chat with one of our correspondents had called on the current leadership of  of IOTA to organise an election, because according to him, the tenure of the executives expired in June 2015.

A former Sole Administrator of the Institute of Transport Administration (IOTA)Nigeria; Prince Don Aki says he will continue to support the growth of the foremost transport institute for it to achieve greatness.

Shipping Position Daily recalls that  Don Aki had in an earlier chat with one of our correspondents had called on the current leadership of  of IOTA to organise an election, because according to him, the tenure of the executives expired in June 2015.

But in a statement made available to our correspondent recently, the erstwhile administrator recanted and explained that he never meant any harm by his statement and impugn on the high profile of IOTA and its current leadership.
 He said he only wanted to offer advice on issues that will bring about development for the institute.

He said IOTA Nigeria remains very dear to his heart, even as he pledged to always support the growth of the institute.

Don Aki reiterated that comments from him in the past were not aimed at destroying the reputation of IOTA rather to make it better.

He pointed out that as a former administrator of the institute, he owe it as a duty to always continue to work towards the progress of the institute.
He told our correspondent that: "A good builder does not use his own hand to destroy what he has built"

"My reaction was not intended to do anything that will harm IOTA but advice and I never meant to bring it down "

"I worked tirelessly from December 2011 to January 2014 to promote IOTA from the bad shape it was then, so as to make it better".

Speaking about  fund, Don Aki stressed that, "on the issue of misappropriation of funds, I could not in anyway have an idea on the update of the institute's finances since my resignation was on January 7th 2014"
"Therefore I am not in the best position to discuss it, quite unfortunate whatever embarrassment it might have caused the institute"
