The debate which is in partnership with ANLCA and its electoral committee is for chairmen and secretaries from the nine chapters that make up the association’s western zone.

The debate which is in partnership with ANLCA and its electoral committee is for chairmen and secretaries from the nine chapters that make up the association’s western zone.
The Shipping Position Daily/ANLCA Elections Debate , being another first from the stable of First Mediacon Network Limited; proud owners of the Shipping Position Daily and Shipping Position Live on Star FM is being strategically organised to hold after the various hurdles have been crossed by the aspirants and elections are a few days away.
The debate which will hold in Apapa is to be attended only those who are eligible to vote in the elections which have been fixed to hold on January 24, 2013. It will also be attended by the media.
Speaking on the essence of the debate, the Editor of Shipping Position Daily, Mr Sesan Onileimo explained that it will help the electorates to understand, appraise and probably appreciate those who are currently jostling to lead them.
“We are restricting the audience to only those who have the voting rights in the elections, it is our hope that this modest contribution will help ANLCA to have a more robust and transparent electoral process and lead to the emergence of leaders who will carry the flag of the association without let or hindrance.
He also expressed the newspaper’s appreciation to the chairman of ANLCA’s electoral committee, Alhaji Abdulazeez Babtunde Mukaila for seeing reasons for the debate and for supporting the initiative, and through him he also thanked the association’s national president; Prince Olayiwola Shittu for always believing in the capacity of Shipping Position group to deliver the message as it is.
He made reference to the ANLCA Forum page which has ran for more than one year on the Monday editions of the newspaper as a clear evidence of a partnership that is working.
Shipping Position Daily is Nigeria and indeed West Africa’s first daily maritime newspaper.
