TICP Port Manager Commends Port Users Over Customers Service Week

Even as the 2014 world customers’ service week has come and gone, the Tin Can Port Complex, Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) has continued to admonish its stakeholders over the highly celebrated week.

The Port Manager of Tin-Can Island Port of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA); Mr. Babatunde Longe gave the commendation in a statement made available to Shipping Position Daily in Lagos, yesterday.

Longe enjoined all port users to imbibe to international best practices in line with greater customer satisfaction.

Even as the 2014 world customers’ service week has come and gone, the Tin Can Port Complex, Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) has continued to admonish its stakeholders over the highly celebrated week.

The Port Manager of Tin-Can Island Port of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA); Mr. Babatunde Longe gave the commendation in a statement made available to Shipping Position Daily in Lagos, yesterday.

Longe enjoined all port users to imbibe to international best practices in line with greater customer satisfaction.

According to him, customers’ satisfaction is rooted in the port’s operational efficiency amidst intense security and safety stressing it has aspired to become the best among equal in the sub region.

Longe noted that all hands must be on deck to ensure that Tin Can port continues to blaze the trail of excellence, stressing that the port will continue to remain the most efficient customer’s service in Roll on Roll off (RoRo) operational activities in all of the nation's seaports.

The statement reads: "renowned for upholding creative and proactive practise around our port, the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) continues to lead the way in greater and more efficient customer service delivery, as our essence in Tin Can Island Port Complex still remains a most efficient customer service in the distinctive RORO operational activities amongst the nation's seaports".
Appealing to its customer, the port manager said: "It would be appreciated also if all hands are on deck so that we can blaze the trail of excellence, our customers’ service being top priority; thereby making us key players in the maritime sector in the sub region and us closest to the long aspired hub status in the sub region."

The port manager further lauded its stakeholders by saying that, "management of Tin Can Island Port Complex, of the Nigeria Ports Authority will continue to thank stakeholders in the maritime community about the memorable customer service week eccentric"

He further said that, “against this backdrop therefore, we wish to enjoin all port users to imbibe international best practices in line with greater customers satisfactory which is rooted in our operational efficiency amidst intense security and safety with innovation, even as we aspire to be the best amongst equal in the sub region".
