General cargo shi[ WILSON PARNU suffered engine failure early in the morning Nov 22, and drifted dangerously close to Sotra island coast, west of Bergen, in rough weather conditions. Salvage operation was launched deploying SAR and fishing vessels, but understood, WILSON PARNU managed to prevent further drift by dropping anchor or anchors, and later, restarting engine. The moved away from the coast to safe waters, and proceeded to Bergen, escorted by tug and SAR ships.

India: 8 Trucks Slide From Cargo Vessel And Sink Into River Ganga, 2 People Missing
Eight stone-filled trucks sunk into the Malda district of West Bengal’s Ganga River. Eight people suffered the weight of the incident, with two missing and six rescued. The search operations for the missing people are ongoing.
The mishap happened when the lorries toppled off a Roll-On-Roll-Off (RORO) vessel while coming from Jharkhand to Manichak in Malda after it developed a snag. A RORO vessel carries passengers along with vehicles. There were 9 trucks loaded on it, 8 of which have been submerged in water.
Offshore Vessel Sinks In Campos Basin, 18 Crew Members Rescued
A 140-foot offshore vessel Carmen sank near the Albacora oil field in Brazil’s Campos Basin region.
The vessel first started listing and then eventually sank. All 18 crew members were rescued from the vessel’s life rafts after the master ordered abandon the vessel to the crew.
Before the accident, the offshore vessel was conducting Bathymetric survey. According to reports, the offshore vessel on contract with Petrobras.
