Mega container ship knocked out of schedule by one positive antigen test
Container ship GUAYAQUIL EXPRESS was diverted from San Antonio Chile, to Valparaiso, Chile, after on arrival from Callao Peru on Jan 12 as per schedule of Service Eurosal XL, one crew got positive antigen test, the rest 24 seamen showed negative results. The ship anchored at Valparaiso anchorage on Jan 12, all crew underwent PCR tests, awaiting result. Ship’s under “quarantine”, i.e. she’s out of schedule for a period yet unknown.
ONE container ship lost several dozen containers in Atlantic
Confirmed it’s MADRID BRIDGE, highly probably number of lost containers is more than 30. Operator is ONE, ship’s serving East Coast 4 (EC4) loop.
Confirmed the ship has to proceed with utmost caution escaping rough weather, to avoid further losses:

Accident caused by mass pilots quarantines, Shanghai

Ships have to anchor in space-restricted anchorages, in dangerously close proximity to each other. Witness, Captain of nearby anchored ship, reported to MB an accident, the result of pilots quarantine policy. In December, some 200 pilots were put under quarantine after two of their colleagues tested positive, and de-facto, pilotage prohibitive restrictions were implemented.
According to Captain’s visual observance and overheard radio talks, bulk carrier OLIVE BAY anchor chain entangled with the chain of another ship, on Jan 8 or 9, in Yangtze estuary between Chongming island and Taicang, Shanghai area. Floating crane and tugs responded, trying to disengage chains and free the ships.
