Dr. Charles Okaga, the General Manager of Operations at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), has been seconded to the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy as a Technical Adviser to the Minister; Adegboyega Oyetola.
Okaga, who previously served as the Port Manager of the Lagos Port Complex (Apapa Port), is widely recognized for his instrumental role in easing the decade-long gridlock that plagued access roads to the Lagos ports. His efforts in traffic decongestion significantly improved port operations and eased logistics for stakeholders.
Beyond traffic management, Okaga is also credited with fostering an unprecedented level of engagement between the NPA and key port stakeholders, including terminal operators, service providers, and users.
