DPR to Tackle Resurgence of Kerosene Scarcity, Says Obaje

Even as scarcity of kerosene continues to bite harder resulting in skyrocketing pump price, the Director, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Andrew Obaje has assured Nigerians that his agency would tackle the resurgence of the scarcity of Dual Purpose Kerosene rocking the country.
According to a statement by DPR, Obaje gave this assurance recently, when he was honoured with the prestigious Fellowship Award by the Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS).

Even as scarcity of kerosene continues to bite harder resulting in skyrocketing pump price, the Director, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Andrew Obaje has assured Nigerians that his agency would tackle the resurgence of the scarcity of Dual Purpose Kerosene rocking the country.
According to a statement by DPR, Obaje gave this assurance recently, when he was honoured with the prestigious Fellowship Award by the Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS).
He assured that DPR would work to always put the interest of the nation before any other, noting that the department would tackle headlong the issue of unavailability of kerosene.
Obaje bagged the award during the society's 47th International Annual Conference Minna, Niger State. Another recipient of the award is former Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Don Obot Etiebet
The conference which was earlier declared open by the Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu was graced by past presidents and fellows of the NMGS.
Obaje in his acceptance speech thanked the society for finding him worthy for the award and pledged that he would continue to work hard for the benefit of Nigerians.
Obaje joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as a Geologist in 1980 and later moved to the then- Directorate, Petroleum Resources as an Assistant Director/Basinal Assessment and Lease Administration in 1995.
