Ford topped the list of most sought-after buses and it comes in two types; namely the diesel engine and that of the petrol.
Before now, the brand goes for to N600, 000, but in the last three weeks, the diesel engine vehicle goes for 700, 000, while the petrol engine cost N850, 000 respectively.
In chat with Auto Port Weekly on the high demand for the Ford brands and that dealers are gradually inflating the price because of the high demand.
According to him, "the price of the Ford buses has been hiked by dealers". "One, the Hausa's love the vehicle and most of the people that come for the bus are from the northern part of the country”.
"On a weekly basis we record an appreciable sale of that particular bus and we must attribute the credit to the northern traders”, he said.
According to him, as the buses are enjoying high patronage compared to cars, so also its importation is gradually on the increase.
