The Nigerian Association of Air Freight Forwarders and Consolidators (NAFFAC) yesterday in Lagos, inaugurated a five man committee to oversee affairs at the airport Lagos chapter.
The five man committee will run the affairs of the association for the next four years while other official positions will be decided through bye elections.
At the inauguration, Mr. Alade Shabi was re elected as the chairman of the chapter, while Abdul Abu was elected as the secretary.

Others that were inaugurated include; Ademola Olatunbosun as financial secretary, ojekunle Omoroga as the new Public Relations Office (PRO) while Paul Ndekweme is the treasurer.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman, Shabi noted that the new administration will not deviate from the principle of one-association-one-house slogan.
Shabi assured that the new administration will purchase a new bus for the chapter and that the newly acquired association secretariat will be upgraded.
He further stressed that ‘’We should be ready to put in our best at all course, we should see ourselves as servants and we should note that being an executive member of NAFFAC is not a money making venture, it is service to our association and freight forwarding industry, our customers and the general public by extension’’.
‘’we should also remind ourselves that NAFFAC is not a trade union but an association of companies ,hence our attitude behavior, and reaction to issues that concern our member companies and freight forwarding industry shall continuously be treated in a way we are known and respected for within or outside the freight forwarding community’’, he stated.
Also speaking during the issuing of certificate of returns to the newly elected members, Chairman, Board Of Trustees (BOT) of NAFFAC, Chief Ani Christian charged the new executives to uphold integrity in their administration even he urged members to learn how to cultivate the habit of loyalty.
He also urged member not to be involved with two association adding that ‘’there is need for members of NAFFAC to learn what is called loyalty, because for a very long time we have been trying to tell members that you don’t have to belong to two associations because it is unethical ‘’
