Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF); Dr Boniface Aniebonam has harped on the need for members of the association to be properly equipped to be able to properly carry out their jobs very well.
He also said that a freight forwarder is supposed to possess all the required requisite to enable him carry out his job effectively.
Speaking during an interactive session with some newsmen in Apapa Lagos recently, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam disclosed that NAGAFF is already in partnership with a University for the purpose of training its members.
"On the issue of capacity building we are partnering with Redeemers University in terms of training. We have continued to increase on the capacity of our members”.
He stressed that, “right now what you must take from NAGAFF is capacity building and therefore all our members need to understand that we need to be properly prepared to engage in freight business”.
“Freight forwarding is a profession and for you to do that, you must undergo the requisite training so that you will be certified. Once that is done you can now operate. So the whole effort NAGAFF have been making for the past 19years is to bring about professionalism and that has to do with capacity. That we are doing to the best of our knowledge and capability with your support", he stated.
