Haruna said this in a statement signed by the Western Naval Command’s, spokesperson, Commander Edward Yeibo on Monday night in Lagos.

Recall that on August 2, 2022, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) PROSPERITY, rescued two Ghanaian fishermen floating in the waters, while patrolling 10 nautical miles North East of Dangote Quays, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.

Further investigation revealed that the men were four in number but sadly, two of them had drowned before the arrival of NNS PROSPERITY to the scene.
