The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Mallam Abdullahi has assured the board and management of Nigerian Flour Mills of the Authority’s continuous economic cooperation that will be mutually beneficial to both organisations.
MallamAbdullahi gave the assurance in Lagos last weekend while receiving the Group Managing Director of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, Mr. Paul Gbededo who paid him a visit in his office.

MallamAbdullahi gave the assurance in Lagos last weekend while receiving the Group Managing Director of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, Mr. Paul Gbededo who paid him a visit in his office.
The Managing Director noted that both organizations have come a long way in economic relationship adding that as a major stakeholder in the maritime industry, flour mills contributions to Ports development and Nigerian economy are enormous. He promised to look into request for partnership with Flour Mills on Independent Power supply project proposed by the Group Managing Director.
Earlier, the Group Managing Director of Flour Mills of Nigeria had congratulated the Managing Director on his appointment last year and thanked the NPA for providing the enabling environment that facilitated all the logistic support needed by his organisation over the years.
He disclosed that flour mills has installed a gas turbine that will generate fourteen megawatts of electricity out of which his organisation can only utilise between six to seven megawatts, noting that the excess megawatts needs to be utilised by other stakeholders under a supply arrangement.
He was accompanied on the visit by the Acting Managing Director of Apapa Bulk Terminals,Captain Mohammed Bashir and Mr. Adebayo Oludare, also of Apapa Bulk Terminal while the NPA team comprised the Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Engineer David Omonibeke and Captain Iheanacho Ebubeogu, General Manager, Public Affairs.
