All roads lead to Industrial Trust Fund (ITF), Training Hall in Apapa, today where Port and Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria (POTEMAN) will hold its Continuous Mandatory Professional Training (CMPT) workshop for Fellows of the academy.
The academy said that the overall objectives of (CMPT) is to enhance effective and efficient networking among fellows for exchange of information, research and to promote professionalism and also to alert fellows on their leadership role in the transport and maritime industry.

The academy said that the overall objectives of (CMPT) is to enhance effective and efficient networking among fellows for exchange of information, research and to promote professionalism and also to alert fellows on their leadership role in the transport and maritime industry.
POTEMAN has also said that the workshop is mandatory for all fellows of the academy as it is required to revalidate their fellowship and certification.
Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Dr. Babatunde Samuel told Shipping Position Daily yesterday in Lagos that the workshop is designed to give fellows of the institute modern techniques and practices about the maritime sector.
Babatunde explained that the sector is growing by the day and there is the need to enlighten fellows of POTEMAN on the modern trends in port development.
The Registrar affirmed that, "the world is becoming a global village and that is why we are using the training to equip our fellows who are the main brain behind every institutions as far as corporate organisations are concerned".
According to him, fellows of POTEMAN are the policy makers and managers in the industry who are occupying strategic positions and it is the main reason the workshop is targeted at them.
He stated that the academy, presently has a total of 150 distinguish fellows and at least 50 of them are expected to be in attendance at the workshop today.
The Registrar also noted that the training will come in batches, as subsequent workshops will be organised for fellows who might miss the first leg due to the nature of their jobs.
The theme of the workshop is: "Enhancing Capacity, Productivity, Profitability and Survival in Port and Terminal Industry".
Guest Speakers include: Port Consultative Council (PCC) Chairman; Otunba Kunle Folarin, and Professor Dele Badejo from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU).
