Total Nigeria Limited and the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) have agreed to work together to develop economy of the country, particularly in the oil sector.
The agreement was reached recently when the Director of International Operations, Total Regional Development, Paris; Mr. Guy Loup Motte and his team visited PHCCIMA in Port Harcourt.
Total Nigeria Limited and the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) have agreed to work together to develop economy of the country, particularly in the oil sector.
The agreement was reached recently when the Director of International Operations, Total Regional Development, Paris; Mr. Guy Loup Motte and his team visited PHCCIMA in Port Harcourt.
He said that he was delighted at the growth in the relationship between PHCCIMA in the past years and his company, to develop the oil sector, and the Nigerian economy.
The Total Director emphasized that the success in the economic development of any nation is premised on entrepreneurship. He assured that his company will continue to give her support to private entrepreneurs on developing their business, especially in the Oil and extractive Industry.
In a response, the president of PHCCIMA, Dr. Vincent Furo said he was happy because some of the chamber’s efforts have come to reality and appealed for support from Total.
He also commended Total for being able to resolve several community issues, following explosion of the company’s oil facilities in Egi and some parts of Ogba/Egbema, Ndoni areas.
