With the National Executive Committee Members (NECOM) election of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) just weeks away, Dr. Kayode Farinto, the acting President of the association and Presidential Candidate in the election, has made fervent appeal to the members of the Ikorodu Chapter to unite behind his team, even as he asserted that his team possesses the necessary qualities to revitalize and lead the association effectively.

During a recent campaign event, which aimed to sensitize members ahead of the election in August, Farinto called on his supporters to be vigilant and vote wisely. He expressed unwavering confidence in the team he has assembled, highlighting their integrity and impressive track record.

Speaking passionately, Farinto emphasized that actions, not mere words, would be the driving force to propel ANLCA forward. In a challenge to other leadership contenders, he urged them to demonstrate their contributions to the association’s growth and success.

A significant part of Farinto’s campaign promises involve working closely with the Federal government to secure a 1% allocation from the cost of duty generation, aiming to benefit ANLCA members and address operational challenges amid government policies. Additionally, he encouraged members to adapt to the new exchange rate policy of the government, assuring them that stability would soon follow.

Speaking also, the Chairman of the Ikorodu Chapter, Mr. Martins Ikechukwu, praised and thanked the Farinto team for reaching out to the Ikorodu members.

He said he wholeheartedly endorsed Farinto, citing his track record and ability to rescue ANLCA, and called on chapter members to offer their unwavering support. Ikechukwu pledged to consolidate the votes in the Ikorodu Chapter for Dr. Kayode Farinto and his team of contestants.

In addition to Dr. Kayode Farinto’s candidacy for the presidential position, various other candidates representing the Farinto team also presented their candidacies to seek support from the Ikorodu Chapter members.
