Are You Satisfied With The Decision To Dissolve The Governing Council Of CRFFN?

I personally voted for the take-off of the CRFFN in 2008, but I want to know what they have achieved, we need to be aware, because the anomalies in the port are outrageous and there is nothing done by this group, if the Minister decides to make a change, it must be credible and so be it. So the minister has already decided, what the CRFFN has done so far for the past four years we have nothing to reap from it, we have not enjoyed anything from the port, the same people asked us to pay N5,400 for our registration and still nothing has been done , our I.D card has not been issued to us, they disappointed the agents and the freight forwarders in general, it was a slap on our face that we couldn’t enjoy the council that was given power by the federal government to become active professionals on the field.

Festus Ukwu (Member, NCMDLCA)
If the government that set it up has dissolved it, who am I to condemn that, I will just keep my reservation, if they have dissolved it, I hope they will set up a new committee since that place is not going to be vacant, there must be a person to lead an organisation in order for her not to fold up, but I will advise the input of stakeholders and freight forwarders into the council.

Osita Chukwu (President, SNFFIEC)
The dissolution is a welcome development, from the inception of CRFFN, I have not seen anything good that they have done to impact on the lives of the freight forwarders, rather, we were getting the opposite side of them, mere looking at the leadership of the council, there is something that we have been calling to be done, and when this is done, it will not have any negative effect on the council. We said that in order to make a headway, keep transparent people to manage the council, using same people who are stakeholders to be governing head of the CRFFN will only lead to confusion, I am one of the people who said that CRFFN is not bad as a set up, but the people managing it is the cause of the breakdown.

Joseph Nnamocha (Stakeholder)
The dissolution of the CRFFN came at the right time, because things are not moving the way they ought to, those of us that were accredited and given membership number which is getting to a year now, have not received our I.D cards; according to what they promised, we made payment for the I.D card, it shows that things are not moving the way it ought to, the right people need to be appointed into the position.

Frank Aliakor (Stakeholder)
The best thing to do is to dissolve it so that we can have new governing council members to run the affairs of the council because we cannot continue to have these type of rulers, once we have variety of people with different ideas which will strengthen the machinery of the council then it will be fine, but looking for people to be there in acting capacity will amount to an act of favoritism and this might bring dislike to other people. What is difficult in conducting an election? We did it the first time, we know how it went, a guideline should be set for those who want to contest and should be given requirements in order to meet the standard,

Barrister Nwagbara Osuala (Stakeholder)
My reaction will not come by the way that I am satisfied with the dissolution or the proposed reconstitution of the governing council of the CRFFN. I am speaking authoritatively that there is a case in court between Eyis Resources Limited, and other two companies against CRFFN, Minister of Transport and so on. I believe the minister dissolved CRFFN because he is aware of the case that is pending in court, that case, in a nutshell is asking for the nullification of the election that was held in 2008 which led to the constitution of the first body as regards the manner the election was conducted.

Ken Iyoha (Fin. Sec. NAGAFF)
Whatever was done in CRFFN was done rightly, you know that any political office holder in Nigeria always want to hold on to the office, and they do have the tendency to elongate tenure, so, as far as I am concerned there is no big deal with the dissolution because their time as governing council has been up. But I will like to say that the purpose of the dissolution should be positive in the sense that the new constituents of the CRFFN governing council should be made up of people who are ready to serve, people who will not rig their way to offices, but people who would want to protect the interest of freight forwarder. As it is, the Act clearly states that the CRFFN will fund itself, not to talk of the money collected from freight forwarders for all manner of registrations here and there. The issue of transaction fee came, self serving people in the council juggled it, even if another election is going to be conducted, where is the money going to come from? There is no big deal with the dissolution because it was done in good faith as it was done within the Act that set it up.

KNOW YOUR BODY PARTS: The Liver The liver is a vital organ located in the right upper abdomen, playing a crucial role in metabolism, detoxification, and digestion. It’s the largest solid organ in the body and is responsible for filtering blood, maintaining blood sugar levels, regulating clotting, and synthesizing essential proteins. The liver also stores energy, removes toxins, and produces bile, which aids in digestion Liver functions: · Metabolism and Detoxification: The liver processes nutrients from the blood, breaks down and balances them, and creates essential substances for the body. It detoxifies harmful substances like drugs and alcohol, converting them into less toxic forms for excretion. The liver plays a role in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. It stores glycogen (a form of glucose) and vitamins, releasing them when the body needs them. · Digestion: The liver produces bile, which is stored in the gallbladder and released into the small intestine to help digest fats. Bile also helps in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. · Blood Regulation: The liver regulates blood sugar levels by storing and releasing glucose. It synthesizes clotting factors, which are essential for blood clotting. It removes old red blood cells and processes bilirubin, a byproduct of red blood cell breakdown. · Other Functions: The liver plays a role in immunity, helping to fight off infections. It produces proteins that are involved in the immune response. The liver also stores iron and other essential minerals. Frequently Asked Questions About The Liver · What are the first signs of a bad liver?
