Yesterday, several hundred migrants targeted trucks leading to violent skirmishes with police.
According to one eyewitness report, French riot police flagged down one truck on a busy ring-road near the port and on opening its trailer found around 10 migrants hidden inside.
On leaving the vehicle, they were “hit one by one by the exasperated truck driver”, the eyewitness said.
