Still basking in the euphoria of pioneering its e-learning portal, called e-beam, leading maritime manpower development institution; Emdee Shipping &Maritime College says it is introducing fresh incentives for candidates of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) who are desirous of a career in the maritime industry.
The Registrar of the school; Mrs Laide Otuyemi told our correspondent last week that candidates who are yet to secure admission to any institution and whose JAMB score is 150 and above are free to forward their data to Emdee for consideration.
According to her, Emdee Shipping &Maritime College is a befitting academic environment and a meeting point for research and references that has a modern library and a computer laboratory, which she referred to as, “the empowerment center that opens the windows to the world for easy sharing of ideas and opinions on different aspects of human endeavours”.
“We also have a maritime workshop, which is a must in any maritime institution, where the prototype of different kind of ships and equipment are displayed for easy identification”, she added.
She also disclosed that the school has befitting students’ hostels, even as she made reference to the school’s e-beam facilities as the “modern communication equipment for learning”.
