President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the re-appointment of Ziakede Patrick Akpobolokemi as the Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration And Safety Agency (NIMASA).
In a letter signed by the secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, dated october 13, 2014, the appointment takes effect from december 23, 2014.
President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the re-appointment of Ziakede Patrick Akpobolokemi as the Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration And Safety Agency (NIMASA).
In a letter signed by the secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, dated october 13, 2014, the appointment takes effect from december 23, 2014.
While congratulating Akpobolokemi on his appointment, Anyim said: “I am pleased to inform you that the President of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has approved your re-appointment as Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) for a second and final tenure of four years .”
According to Anyim, the re-appointment is in accordance with section 11 (1)& (2) of the nigerian maritime administration and safety agency act, 2007.
Mr. Akpobolokemi was first appointed in december 2010,
Until his appointment, the new NIMASA Director General was a lecturer at the Niger Delta University on Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.
