Lagos Ports Received 13,777 Units Of Vehicles In August

The Tin Can Island port and Lagos Port Complex both received a total of 13,777 units of used and new vehicles in August, 2013.
Document released by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and made available to Auto Port Weekly revealed that a total of 31 vessels came into the Lagos ports with vehicles.
However, Five Star Logistics Terminal and Port and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) both handled 14 vessels each, while Standard Flour Mills (SFM) recorded three vessels laden with used vehicles.

The Tin Can Island port and Lagos Port Complex both received a total of 13,777 units of used and new vehicles in August, 2013.
Document released by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and made available to Auto Port Weekly revealed that a total of 31 vessels came into the Lagos ports with vehicles.
However, Five Star Logistics Terminal and Port and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) both handled 14 vessels each, while Standard Flour Mills (SFM) recorded three vessels laden with used vehicles.
The document revealed that Five Star Logistics handled the highest number of imported vehicles; that is 9,207 units of both used and new vehicles.
It further revealed that 5,959 units of used vehicles were recorded at Five Star Logistics terminal in August, while 3,248 units of new vehicles made it to the terminal. PTML on the other hand handled a total of 3,200 units of unclassified vehicles last month.
Meanwhile, Standard Flour Mills recorded a total of 1,370 units of used vehicles, also in August.  
Auto Port Weekly recalls that in January the terminal handled 9,204 units, February was 9,735 units while the month of March has so far recorded the highest volume of vehicles imported into the country through the seaports. It stood at 12,474 units.
The month of April recorded 9,171 units, May had 7,038 units, while last month June had 13,428 units which has been the highest recorded for 2013 and July accounted for 11,069 units of imported vehicles.
