The Customs Area Controller in charge of Tin Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Comptroller Musa Baba Abdullahi was reportedly shot at the weekend while leaving the Kaduna airport.
Even though news of the attack was all over the Tin Can command yesterday when our correspondent, the command’s spokesperson; Mr Uche Ejesieme could not confirm it.
When he was contacted yesterday, Ejesieme only said he was already in the Comptroller's country home in Kaduna where his daughter's wedding in expected to hold today (Friday), 20th of 2018.
Shipping Position Daily gathered that the Comptroller was badly hit but is alive. Two of his aides were however reportedly killed in the gun duel with the yet-to-be ascertained assailants.
Ejesieme who spoke with our correspondent via telephone and said: "I don't know about it my brother, the CAC’s daughter is getting married on Friday, he has traveled for the wedding and we are all going for the wedding”
In fact, as we speak, I am in Kaduna in Oga's house planning for the wedding tomorrow, but I am not aware whether he was shot or not".
Other stakeholders at the Tin Can Island command who spoke with our correspondent under anonymity said that the incident was true.
