The management of Inland Containers Nigeria Limited (ICNL) and operator of Kaduna Inland Dry Port has denied that four containers destined for their facilities missed in transit.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Lagos last week, the management of ICNL said it was not true that containers on transit to their facilities went missing.

In the statement the company stated that: “The attention of the Management of Inland Containers Nigeria Limited (ICNL), the owners and operators of the Kaduna Inland Dry Port and the Inland Container Terminal/Depot in Kano State has been drawn to a publication on several online news media that four containers in transit to Kaduna Inland Dry Port and Inland Container Depot, Kano State were stolen and diverted.

“We wish to state for the records that no container[s] in transit to either our Kaduna Inland Dry Port or Inland Container Terminal/Depot is missing and or diverted. Kindly ignore the libelous and malicious publication aimed at tarnishing the reputation and goodwill of our esteemed organization”.

The container depot who is also the operator of Kaduna Inland Dry Port said with its top notch and excellent service, it can’t be involved in such act .

“As the leading integrated logistics and shipping company in Nigeria, ICNL remains committed to providing excellent and top-notch services to its numerous customers within and outside Nigeria.”

While speaking with our correspondent, the Managing Director of ICNL; Mr Ismail Yusuf said there was no way it would be associated with that kind of misconduct. He also assured the two facilities in Kaduna and Kano can never be compromised.

“We have built our reputation as the leading provider of logistics services in Nigeria, we can not throw our years of reputation into the trash can, I can assure you that nothing s such happened at either the Kaduna Inland Dry Port or Kano Inland Container Terminal, he said.
