In what promises to be a landmark event in the advancement of gender inclusion in Nigeria’s logistics and transport sector, the Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Nigeria will officially unveil its commemorative book, _”The Birth Before the Spread”_ , on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado District, Abuja.

According to a media statement issued by the Founder of WiLAT Nigeria, Hajia Aisha Ali Ibrahim, former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Zainab Maina, will chair the historic book presentation, which is expected to attract leading stakeholders from the logistics and transport industry, government, academia, and the private sector.

Also expected at the event is Nigeria’s first female Minister of Transport and Aviation and WiLAT Global Ambassador, Amb. Dr. Kema Chikwe, who will serve as the Chief Host.

Other distinguished guests include WiLAT Nigeria’s matrons, trustees, pioneers, role models, past and present leaders, as well as representatives from WiLAT international chapters.

“The Birth Before the Spread” chronicles the inspiring story of WiLAT’s emergence and remarkable global expansion.

The publication documents the journey of the women empowerment arm of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), tracing its evolution from its pioneering roots in Nigeria to becoming a global movement with 40 chapters, currently across the world.

The book, published by Kings Communications Limited, is expected to serve as both a historical record and an inspiration for future generations of women pursuing leadership and professional excellence in the logistics and transport industry.
