At an elaborate ceremony to mark the commencement of the course in Lagos last week, the Chief Executive Officer of Multimix, Dr. Obiora Madu explained that the essence of the programme is to strengthen import, procurement, shipping and the supply chain management functions of the participants.

At an elaborate ceremony to mark the commencement of the course in Lagos last week, the Chief Executive Officer of Multimix, Dr. Obiora Madu explained that the essence of the programme is to strengthen import, procurement, shipping and the supply chain management functions of the participants.
According to him, the course is a professional course that tends to provide them with certified compliance training on emerging import practices and trends.
Already, the programme has been endorsed for all freight forwarders and their importers as stated by the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN). Other maritime agencies and institutions that have endorsed the programme include: the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) the Institute of Freight Forwarders in Nigeria among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Madu said that the programme “came alive as a result of a recent gap analyses that indicated that trade logistics practitioners needed to deepen their knowledge of the ever dynamic international trade rules and technicalities in order to realign their practice and engender professionalism”
Dr. Madu further explained that the programme is designed for importers and their staff, clearing agents and their personnel, international freight forwarders and other logistics experts.
