An oil and gas training institution; Oil and Gas Education and Research Institute is set to partner with the private and public sector in providing training in the maritime offshore and onshore sector.
The Managing Consultant to the Academy, Mr. Chris Imumolen made this known during a chat with Shipping Position Daily last week in Lagos, even as he added that the institute has embarked on awareness programmes with both sectors.

The Managing Consultant to the Academy, Mr. Chris Imumolen made this known during a chat with Shipping Position Daily last week in Lagos, even as he added that the institute has embarked on awareness programmes with both sectors.
Imumolen said that the expectations of the academy this year is to see how they can partner with organizations in terms of training and consultancy, even as he added that government agencies are also involved in the training.
According to him, “this year, we want to add more into the Industry by rendering quality services and consultancy to different oil and gas firms, and other government parastatal
“By now we are already having agenda to talk with Stakeholders, ministers, people who matter in the Industries in order to see how we can also contribute to the output of the Industry”.
He also added that the aim of the academy is to see how it could advise the Government and Stakeholders in the Industry on ways to go about the maritime and oil and gas business.
