The marketers attributed the absence of fuel queues to the lifting of oil products at the depots with ease which hitherto were dormant.

National Coordinator, Concerned Independent Marketers, Mohammed Bello, stated that the reforms by the management of Pipeline and Product Marketing Company Limited (PPMC) under the leadership of the Managing Director, Prince Haruna Momoh has made it easy for members to lift and bridge petroleum products.
He said petroleum products are presently easily pumped from Atlas Cove in Lagos to depots in Ogun, Ilorin, Kwara and Ondo states while Warri depot supplies Edo and environs and Port Harcourt refinery supplies the South East.
Bello said Momoh and his team of engineers were able to fix vandalized pipelines across the country hence the current absence of fuel scarcity and its attendant queues that were common in the past.
He said that despite the challenge being posed by vandalization, independent oil marketers are facing less risk now and said any marketer found to be selling products above the official pump price will be sanctioned accordingly.
