President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has approved the appointment of new Management for the Nigeria Customs Service.
The appointment follows the recent appointment of Acting Comptroller General of Customs; Bashir Adewale Adeniyi to head the service and the retirement of some management members
A statement issued by the service’s spokesperson; Abdullahi Maiwada confirmed the development.
Six senior personnel of the service have thus been elevated to Deputy Comptrollers General and Assistant Comptrollers General in the new dispensation.
They are: DCG FO Okun, DCG MBA Musa, DCG A Hamisu, ACG K Olumoh, ACG AB Mohammed and ACG A Alajogun.
The statement quoted the Comptroller General as thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious service, even as he congratulated the newly-appointed officers and charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
