Professor Abiodun Sule is a renowned Master Mariner, a Marine researcher and one of the best Nautical Scientist Nigeria has produced.
After sailing the world as a captain, Sule joined the services of Shell Petroleum where he worked for the greater part of his career until the Federal Government appointed him as Provost, Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT).
After excellently serving out two terms as Provost of the foremost Marine College, Sule was again appointed by the Federal Government as the Executive Director, Nigerian Institute For Oceanography and Marine Research, (NIOMR) Victoria Island, Lagos.
Prof Sule is a silent achiever. He does his works without making any noise about it. He has brought his experience and expertise to bear by transforming the Institute in less than two years of his appointment. A visit to NIOMR will convince you that when you have a square peg in a square hole, the result is always fantastic.

Prof Capt Abiodun Sule has been chosen by the organizing Team of AMSAY Conference 2022 to steer the activities of this year’s Conference as Chairman of the occasion. And he has accepted to do so, because according to him, “we need to give hope to the youth as future leaders of the industry”.
The 6th edition of Annual Maritime Students And Youth Conference also known as ‘A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students’ is billed for May 27, 2022.
