What Impact do you think CRFFN’s Training and Graduation will have on the profession of Freight Forwarding?

Henry Njoku (ANLCA Chieftain)

Knowledge is power. As long as one lives, there is nothing wrong with learning more. I believe the training is an added advantage to freight forwarders, which will in no doubt improve and develop the profession. To me, it is one of the best things that has happened.

Azubuike Ekweozor (Tin Can Chairman, NAGAFF)

Anybody who must be reckoned with, in this business today, must, first of all, undergo a learning process in the four walls of the classroom. He or she must learn and become a professional to be able to do freight forwarding business with dignity, sound mind, and with respect equally accorded him or her by all agencies both government and multinationals. This will show the difference between a professional and an amateur. This training will also sanitize the industry and our business will flourish. The freight forwarding profession stands to benefit from this.

Hajia Bola Muse (ANLCA Chieftain)

The training by CRFFN will go a long way in improving the maritime industry. However, the mandate of CRFFN is to train professionals. The training is the entitlement of every freight forwarding and Customs brokerage professionals. The training is very important in keeping us abreast of what is going on in the industry.

Francis Omotoso (Registrar, NAGAFF Academy)

Knowledge is the basics; without it you cannot have any headway. To get the knowledge you must be trained. All we just pray for is that there should be a sustainable tempo of this transfer of knowledge. As it goes on, a lot of people will be equipped with knowledge so that we can sustain the profession together.

The impact of that training and graduation is very huge because it will propel others to see reasons to come back to the classroom to learn and equip themselves with the necessary knowledge in freight forwarding, especially in this age of digitalization. The supply chain needs a lot of technology. It will also lift up the image of CRFFN. They should concentrate more on training rather than diverting their attention to things that are irrelevant. That is the bottom line of CRFFN.

Pius Ojubonu (ANLCA Chieftain)

The whole training is good. It is good to be informed, but how it is going to impact the freight forwarding profession is dependent on the ability of the grandaunts to translate and apply what they have learnt in the classroom. It might be difficult for them to bring them into reality or practice. Besides, is the curriculum tailored to our environment or for general practice? This is because every international trade and import is local. The politics or economy of the importer determines whether it will be positive or negative. The cost of the training is prohibitive. I am not saying the training is not good, but my thinking is that it might not be properly conceived.

Stanley Ezenga (Former NAGAFF PRO)

Unfortunately, in our industry, the profession of freight forwarding has been an all-comers affair because there is no regulatory agency to regulate the profession. That had been the norm before the birth of CRFFN in 2007. The implication of this training and certification is that all freight forwarders are expected to undergo the training to certify as a professional freight forwarder in order to know the nitty-gritty that has to do with the profession and be relevant in the industry. Freight forwarding is an international business that transcends all oceans.

Dr. Eugene Nweke

We all know too well the importance of training and retraining to every organization; how much more a profession like freight forwarding. I will rather want us to look at what will be the expectations and next destination of freight forwarding in Nigeria following the graduation of 400 professionals.

Comrade Bernard Onyeka Udo (Chairman, NAGAFF Airport Chapter)

This programme has had an unprecedented effect on all of us and I think the only way to sanitize the freight forwarding industry is to get all practitioners to go through this professional education. This offers you the grasp of the rudimentary studies of freight forwarding, apart from on the field training which one acquires from practicing. Professionalism begins with going back to the classroom, without which you will be missing in action. If you don’t know what is moving, then you have lost touch. Education is key to everything we do in life and our profession is not an exception.

KNOW YOUR BODY PARTS: The Liver The liver is a vital organ located in the right upper abdomen, playing a crucial role in metabolism, detoxification, and digestion. It’s the largest solid organ in the body and is responsible for filtering blood, maintaining blood sugar levels, regulating clotting, and synthesizing essential proteins. The liver also stores energy, removes toxins, and produces bile, which aids in digestion Liver functions: · Metabolism and Detoxification: The liver processes nutrients from the blood, breaks down and balances them, and creates essential substances for the body. It detoxifies harmful substances like drugs and alcohol, converting them into less toxic forms for excretion. The liver plays a role in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. It stores glycogen (a form of glucose) and vitamins, releasing them when the body needs them. · Digestion: The liver produces bile, which is stored in the gallbladder and released into the small intestine to help digest fats. Bile also helps in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. · Blood Regulation: The liver regulates blood sugar levels by storing and releasing glucose. It synthesizes clotting factors, which are essential for blood clotting. It removes old red blood cells and processes bilirubin, a byproduct of red blood cell breakdown. · Other Functions: The liver plays a role in immunity, helping to fight off infections. It produces proteins that are involved in the immune response. The liver also stores iron and other essential minerals. Frequently Asked Questions About The Liver · What are the first signs of a bad liver?
