No fewer than 23 ships are waiting to discharge petroleum products at various oil terminals in the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said.
The “Shipping Position’’, a daily publication of the NPA made available to newsmen on Monday, said that 13 of those ships were carrying petrol.
It said that four other ships were carrying diesel, while three ships would discharge aviation fuel and kerosene each.
The NPA document indicated that six other ships were waiting to discharge, rice, bulk wheat and soda ash.

The document also reported that 81 ships, carrying different cargoes, would arrive in the Lagos ports between Nov. 26 and Dec. 20.
Eight of those ships would arrive with petroleum products.
