The management of the Tin Can Island Port of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has frowned at the impunity with which aspirants in the forthcoming election of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agent (ANLCA) are pasting their campaign posters all around the Tin Can port.
Port Manager of the Tin Can port, Mr. Ephraim Effioita in a chat with Shipping Position Daily said that the attention of the NPA has been drawn to the way ANLCA election posters are currently defacing the walls around the port.

Ephraim said that the concerned department under the NPA will start going round to inform the associations and port users on the need to maintain cleanliness at the port.
He however warned that henceforth, the authority has banned the pasting of posters at the Tin Can Port.
Meanwhile, one of the aspirants at the Tin Can port ANLCA election, Mr. Ojo Peter Akintoye has condemned insinuations that the port is the most notorious among the other Nigerian ports.
Akintoye who was speaking at the flag-off of his campaign at the Tin can port last Thursday debunked the insinuation, saying that clearing agents at the port are not notorious and that they deserve to be given the right atmosphere to operate.
"They are labouring but they discovered that they are doing it in vain, the atmosphere is not conducive for them, that is why you think they are notorious. There are graduates and responsible fathers among us"
