ANLCA Tasks Accredited Institutions To Use Secretariat For Training

The Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has enjoined all institutions that are accredited by the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) to use its secretariat to train licensed customs agents and freight forwarders.
According to him, the secretariat, named after the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko Inde can accommodate over 50 students at a go with modern training equipment.

The Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has enjoined all institutions that are accredited by the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) to use its secretariat to train licensed customs agents and freight forwarders.
According to him, the secretariat, named after the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Dikko Inde can accommodate over 50 students at a go with modern training equipment.
The association’s president; Prince Olayiwola Shittu made the appeal during a chat with newsmen in Lagos penultimate week.
Shittu reiterated that for proximity purposes the " Dikko inde House" is available for use by the accredited institutions of CRFFN because most of the practitioners who are eager to partake in the exercise may not have the time to travel far and wide to receive the training.
According to him, the secretariat is a convenient place for training of freight agents and that it is better for the institutions to make effective use of the place.
He further noted that the secretariat is spacious but presently under utilized for the purpose it was built.
"Instead of using the secretariat drinking, the accredited associations can use it for training of freight forwarders", Shittu noted.
He called for quality standard of training for freight forwarders by the CRFFN, stressing that it should train agents at a convenient point closer to their work place.
Shittu added that ANLCA will continue to support CRFFN for it to succeed in its training mandate as a parastatal under the Ministry of Transport.
He however urged the various institutions to ensure that standard is there watchword in the course training.
