The presidential aide raised the alarm in Lagos recently when he spoke at the one- day seminar on fuel subsidy.
He insisted that the stretch from Ibafon to Coconut and to Ijora, which currently houses more than 20 tank farms, must be decongested to safeguard the life of those who do business and those who live in Apapa.
As an alternative, the special adviser told the gathering which also included the chief executive of one of the tank farms and former minister of interior, Capt Emmanuel Ihenacho that government is already looking in the direction of Ogun state.
He specifically mentioned Iwopin in Ijebu waterside as a possible alternative and disclosed that he has commenced preliminary discussions with the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosu.
According to Oyewole, Iwopin has a draught of about 11 metres and it can be grudged further to about 15 metres.
