C.C.E.C.C. Imports 257 Units Of Trucks To Boost Construction In Lagos

As part of measures to ensure speedy construction works in some parts of Lagos State and other of the country, China Construction Engineering Civil Corporation (CCECC) has imported a total of 27 units of Sinotu CIC trucks to the additional fleet of the vehicles into the Country.
The vehicles which came into the port through a vessel called Grand Quest ’89 berthed at the Five Star logistics terminal at the Tin Can Island port in Lagos on the third of September, 2012.

The vehicles which came into the port through a vessel called Grand Quest ’89 berthed at the Five Star logistics terminal at the Tin Can Island port in Lagos on the third of September, 2012.
Shipping Position Daily gathered that the Sinotruk, is to aid other vehicles belonging to the company in order to accelerate construction works that are being handled by the China firm.
An insider of the construction firm told our correspondent at the terminal in Lagos last week that since the company is playing a vial role in the construction and rehabilitation of some major projects in the country, there is the need to import more vehicles.
According to him, the vehicles are necessary to hasten ongoing construction works in various parts of the state.
An officer of C.C.E.C.C. who prefers anonymity told our correspondent that the company is bidding for more projects in other parts of the country, adding that more vehicles will still be imported into the country.
He said that the vehicles will be distributed to various sites in Lagos State as soon as they exit the Tin Can Island Port.
