For this period of the year, some of the most popular cargo includes the Syrian apples, the Turkish tangerines and lemons and the Egyptian oranges.
The Vice-President of CMA CGM Asia Med Lines, Stephane Courquin, explained:
“As usual, the Group proves its flexibility by adapting its service offer. With CITRUS EXPRESS, we are responding to our clients’ demand at best and we support citrus export development in Turkey and Egypt. The objective is to propose a more reliable and ecological alternative to road transport which also presents a risk of spoilage. With the Reefers containers, all degradation will be avoided.”
The Reefers containers will ensure perfect conservation of the fruits thanks to the special high tech technology they are equipped with. It allows the fruits to be kept at a temperature, an atmosphere and a humidity adapted for transportation.
