The Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Sir Mike Jukwe has convened a meeting of Chief Executive Officers of Practitioners’ Regulatory Agencies in Nigeria.
In his opening address, the CRFFN registrar who convened the meeting told hish guests that: “if our functions are similar, our challenges are too and it is for this reason that I believe we can come together to share knowledge and experience, come up with common strategies and pull resources to confront the challenges and deliver on our mandates”.

In his opening address, the CRFFN registrar who convened the meeting told hish guests that: “if our functions are similar, our challenges are too and it is for this reason that I believe we can come together to share knowledge and experience, come up with common strategies and pull resources to confront the challenges and deliver on our mandates”.
He therefore urged his colleagues “to evolve strategies that will transform our great nation in line with the transformation agenda of the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
The inaugural meeting of the body which was attended by chief executives of regulatory agencies from the various ministries was roundly commended as a platform to enable them to meet on a quarterly basis.
Agreeing to form a platform to meet regularly, the CEO’s who were at the well- attended meeting commended the initiative of the CRFFN registrar and agreed to be a part of the platform.
A committee of five agencies, namely, CRFFN, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) and Council for Registered Builders in Nigeria (CORBON) was constituted to draft a structure and plan of action for consideration at the next meeting on 5th July, 2012 to be hosted by NAFDAC.
Giving the closing remarks, the Director General of NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii, who was represented by his Special Assistant, Dr. James Mbachiantim urged his colleagues to embrace the forum and contribute meaningfully towards the effective discharge of their regulatory functions.
