CRFFN Registrar Visits ANLCA, NAGAFF

Still basking in the euphoria of the recent registration of about 4000 individual and corporate members, the registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Sir Mike Jukwe is schedule to pay a visit to the national headquarters of the two freight forwarding associations that had earlier been registered.
The associations are: Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF).

Still basking in the euphoria of the recent registration of about 4000 individual and corporate members, the registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Sir Mike Jukwe is schedule to pay a visit to the national headquarters of the two freight forwarding associations that had earlier been registered.
The associations are: Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF).
Although details of the visit were not made public, a statement from the Council that was sent to Shipping Position Daily however indicated that the registrar would be accompanied on the “working visit” by CRFFN’s Director, Regulation and Enforcement; Mr. Basil Opara, the Ag. Director, Education and Research, Mr. Alban Igwe and the Secretary, Registered Freight Forwarders Investigation Panel Mr, Basil Nneke.
There are however strong indications that issues bordering on professionalism and the programmes of CRFFN for 2012 are also going to be discussed.
It will be recalled that CRFFN recently organised the first leg of its Training of the Trainers (ToT) course in Lagos and there are plans to commission the trainers to begin the training programme for registered freight forwarders.
The CRFFN has also disclosed that it will be holding the first edition of an annual programme to be called Annual Freight Forwarders Conference.
Al l these are expected to be on the front burners tomorrow, even as the two associations have confirmed their readiness for the all-important meeting which is the first official visit of CRFFN since the two associations were accredited and registered.
