The Kaduna/Katsina Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded 511 seizures with Duty Paid Value of N523.3 million in Katsina State between January and August.
The Customs Area Controller, Alhaji Yerima Abubakar disclosed this last week in Katsina while briefing newsmen on the achievements of the command.
Abubakar also said that in spite of some challenges, the command had generated N3.1 billion, as revenue during the period.

Abubakar also said that in spite of some challenges, the command had generated N3.1 billion, as revenue during the period.
He said that the success was a result of 15 additional patrol vehicles and logistics provided to the command by the headquarters of the .
“Just last week the command seized 379 cartons of 100 mg of hasoxine injections, 63 cartons of 500mg capsules and 98 bales of lace materials.''
Abubakar said two suspects had been arrested on alleged smuggling charges.
He said that the NCS had established a robust ICT centre and provided the command with a mobile scanner at Jibia border post to facilitate international trade.
The controller urged all stakeholders, particularly religious and community leaders, to assist in sensitising the general public on the dangers associated with smuggling.
He said the command is ready to facilitate legitimate businesses.
