Do You Think NAGAFF And ANLCA Alone Can Champion The Course Of Freight Forwarders Without Assistance Of Other Associations?

There is a lacuna somewhere that has made all the associations to fight their own battles without unity and cooperation. The problem we are faced with is that the two big associations we have in the industry claimed to know all, but in the real sense of it, they are the cause of the problems  we have in this industry and until the old hands in that associations leave their respective positions,  things will not change. For as long as the old leaders of these associations are still in positions, there will continue to be chaos in the freight forwarding industry.

Durkugbo Gozie (Secretary NAGAFF PTML)
I believe NAGAFF and ANLCA can be able to champion the course of freight forwarding associations alone because they have what it takes and also they have  the capacity and experiences to address issues that affect practitioners. I also I think both associations can go to any length to do anything that will make the practice thrive without the help or intervention of other smaller associations.

Dr Frank C. Ukor ( President AREFFN)
In my own understanding,  I think they can be able to champion it, because if you take a look at the agreement which was been signed earlier with AP Moller and shipping companies it was merely championed by both associations namely:  NAGAFF and ANLCA. I think they can improve the industry without the assistance of others.

Festus Ukwu ( Pub. Sec. NCMCDLA)
In this case, what I will say is that NAGAFF and ANLCA are integrated part of the associations that can improve the country, so, there is no one alone that has monopoly of knowledge. Every other association must be carried along. In order to make it complete, I think there is the need  to hear the voice of others because if you are hearing the voice of one or two associations without other associations that means things will go wrong at the end, and if you think about it, they are still in the minority cause there are  five registered associations by CRFFN.

Dr. Kayode Farinto (ANLCA)
It is not possible for both associations to champion the course, because we have other registered associations, which means that ANLCA and NAGAFF alone cannot do it without the help of others because we have AREFFN, Council of Managing Directors and do not forget that it was purely ANLCA before now; others were just splinter group. So, I do not think ANLCA and NAGAFF can do it all alone and the only thing that I think will be good for them is if they walk in unity so as to achieve the best for their members. Although initially government have been looking into this direction but eventually politics came in and this brought in illegalities in the country so it is not possible for both associations to work without the assistance of others.

Prince Olu Ologbese ( Stakeholder)
I think both associations can work together without the assistance of others, because to start with we discovered that the Council of Managing Directors is a fallout from ANLCA, likewise NAGAFF and AREFFN because all these are groups that broke out from ANLCA. So, if you look at what really happened on that day after we had the strike other associations were not visible except ANLCA and NAGAFF.

Daniel Williams (FFAN)
I believe they can, if there were no other associations. Before now, it has always been just the two names in the front line, but in recent time where we have more than one or two existing and known associations. They all have to be carried along otherwise they will always encounter tyranny because of interest. In real sense they are supposed to complement themselves.

Mellow Oshiomah ( ANLCA Apapa Chapter)
As far as I know a bird cannot fly with one hand, so also an association cannot do without other associations, because other associations are also registered and are allowed to operate in the port. Definitely they have to co-operate with each other no single association can claim to do something for the terminal operator, customs or the industry without their joint co-operation, because if there is no unity, the house won't be in order and in any circle that there is no unity there won't be any progress, so definitely they all have to work closely together.

KNOW YOUR BODY PARTS: The Liver The liver is a vital organ located in the right upper abdomen, playing a crucial role in metabolism, detoxification, and digestion. It’s the largest solid organ in the body and is responsible for filtering blood, maintaining blood sugar levels, regulating clotting, and synthesizing essential proteins. The liver also stores energy, removes toxins, and produces bile, which aids in digestion Liver functions: · Metabolism and Detoxification: The liver processes nutrients from the blood, breaks down and balances them, and creates essential substances for the body. It detoxifies harmful substances like drugs and alcohol, converting them into less toxic forms for excretion. The liver plays a role in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. It stores glycogen (a form of glucose) and vitamins, releasing them when the body needs them. · Digestion: The liver produces bile, which is stored in the gallbladder and released into the small intestine to help digest fats. Bile also helps in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. · Blood Regulation: The liver regulates blood sugar levels by storing and releasing glucose. It synthesizes clotting factors, which are essential for blood clotting. It removes old red blood cells and processes bilirubin, a byproduct of red blood cell breakdown. · Other Functions: The liver plays a role in immunity, helping to fight off infections. It produces proteins that are involved in the immune response. The liver also stores iron and other essential minerals.
